Aired on Dec. 1, 2024
• Architecture, Community, Pittsboro

Host Randy Voller, welcomes Taylor Hobbs and Grimsley Hobbs who, with a small and talented staff at the award-winning firm of Hobbs Architects, punch above their weight renovating and designing public and private projects across North Carolina that include school buildings, historic county courthouses, welcome centers, professional office buildings and residences of distinction. Both men have shared their significant skills and knowledge on local boards creating even deeper roots to the communities they serve. Their shared affinity for historic structures comes naturally when one learns that a young Grimsley lived in the mysterious Gimghoul Castle (see banner photo) on UNC’s campus when his parents were the caretakers there during graduate school and that for several years, the family has owned and improved a 1790 gristmill in Chatham County that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
