    League of Women Voters Hosts Health Care Series
    Through March

    The League of Women Voters of Orange, Durham and Chatham Counties will host a series of discussions on the impact of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act on North Carolinians. Speakers will include:

    • Dr. John Oberlander: Professor of Social Medicine and Health Policy & Management at UNC with an adjunct appointment in the Department of Political Science;
    DATE: February 12, 2013 7:30-9 p.m. and
    • Commissioner Wayne Goodwin: North Carolina Insurance Commissioner since 2008 and the regulator in charge of the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
    DATE: February 27, 2013 7:30-9 p.m.
    • Panel Discussion: Insurance, physician and hospital representatives will discuss their views on the impact of the ACA in North Carolina DATE: March 20, 2013 7:30-9 p.m.
