Know Before You Go: Make a Plan to Vote

Chatham County residents wishing to participate in the 2022 midterm General Election have three options for making their choices known.
1. Vote Absentee by Mail
Request your absentee ballot now through Nov. 1, 2022.
Complete your ballot and send it back to arrive no later than 5 pm on November 8, 2022.
Details on voting by mail are available on the Chatham County Board of Elections website.
2. Vote Early In Person
In person/Early voting begins October 20, 2022
In person/Early voting ends Saturday Nov. 5, 2022
Monday–Friday, 8 am–7:30 pm
Saturdays, (10/22, 10/29, 11/5) 8 am–3 pm
Sundays, (10/23, 10/30) 12 noon–3 pm
Same Day registration is available during Early Voting. No Voter ID is needed.

3. Vote on Tuesday, November 8, 2022
Election Day polls are open from 6:30 am– 7:30 pm. You must already be registered to vote in order to vote on Election Day. No Voter ID is required.
Voters must vote in their precinct. Some precinct voting locations have changed. Before you go, find your polling place by visiting https://vt.ncsbe.gov/PPLkup/
