2020 has been a tough year and the hits keep coming.

This is the time when we can decide whether to pull together as a community or pull apart individually.

Chatham County certainly showed the state once again that civic engagement here is healthy as we once again led North Carolina in voter turnout on November 3rd.

What residents can do now is appeal to our better angels and make a positive difference in our community one step at a time.

Spend our time and capital in Chatham County.

Support our local artists, business owners and community organizations.

Check in on our family and friends to see how they are doing.

Get out of our comfort zone and do random acts of kindness.

Be present.

Volunteer.

Do the simple things like wearing a mask and using hand sanitizer.

Tend to our community like a garden.

The pandemic is surging again and our County government was cyber attacked.

Many of our friends, neighbors and local businesses are struggling.

It is time to embrace “LEO” which means “Love Each Other”.

As we hurtle headlong into 2021 that will make all the difference.
