Heritage Cattle defined in effort to save species

In an effort to secure the term Heritage in the food and agricultural marketplaces, Pittsboro’s American Livestock Breeds Conservancy (ALBC), a non-profit organization working to ensure the survival of rare breeds of livestock and poultry, has defined the term Heritage Cattle and established criteria for beef and dairy products made from Heritage Cattle breeds. Siler City Christmas Parade Float Winners
The Chatham Chamber of Commerce presented the Siler City Christmas Parade on Thursday, December 2 at 7 p.m. This year’s parade theme was “Twas the Night before Christmas.”

This year’s float winners were:
  • 1st Place Fellowship Baptist Church
  • 2nd Place - Community Baptist Church
  • 3rd Place - Townsends
  • 3rd Place - Chatham County Republican Women
