Chatham County Line - Where all voices are heard

Chatham County Line publishes 10 issues a year: December/January, February, March, April, May, June, July/August, September, October and November.

Our copy deadline is the 15th of the month before publication; the ad deadline is the 21st.

Our print run is 8,500, of which 5,000 issues are direct mailed. Each issue goes into every post office box in Pittsboro and Siler City. They are also direct mailed into Northeast Chatham, including Fearrington Village, Governors' Club, and the Preserve. We circulate across the county, from Goldston and Gulf to Siler City and Silk Hope; from Bear Creek to Pittsboro and Moncure. We also circulate in Chapel Hill, Carrboro and Apex. Approximately 8,000 issues circulate each month.

Chatham County Line has become the premier source of in-depth news coverage for Chatham County. We provide a forum where all citizens can address civic affairs with civility. We are committed to even-handedness.

Julian Sereno is editor and publisher of Chatham County Line. He has more than 25 years experience in community journalism, including 12 years as Neighborhood Editor for The Durham Sun and then The Herald-Sun. He has an A.B. from the University of Chicago and an M.A. in Mass Communication Research from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is 22-year resident of Carrboro.

Mary Bastin is director of marketing for Chatham County Line. As such, she promotes all businesses in the County and surrounding areas. A Fearrington Village resident, she has written for the paper for three years. She has worked in communications and marketing for over 15 years. Her graduate study was in Community Development. As director of marketing she promotes all the family-owned small businesses in the county. Her goal is getting citizens informed and involved so the county becomes a community.
